Our Role as Ministers and Celebrants

When we work with you, whichever option you go for, rest assured we will put our hearts and our souls into all we do for you as we create a beautiful, personal and meaningful ceremony for you.

Whether you’d like your ceremony to be very informal with touches of humour, or whether it’s to be candle-lit to feel romantic, sacred and beautiful – you tell us what 'flavour' you’d like and we take our lead from you.

We’ve collated information from the ‘wedding supermarket’ so you don’t have to and we have at least a dozen books on hand for our reference. Not only do we discuss ideas, offer suggestions and gather information from you (and in doing so get to know you), we also hold you in our thoughts and prayers in the lead up to your big day and are available for any additional support as and when needed.

As part of the holding of the ceremony on your actual wedding day we feel the role of Minister needs to include being the presence of calmness, being the presence of joy (it wouldn’t befit such a happy occasion to be anything but) and being grounded and centred, because how ever well prepared we all are, on the day the unexpected can happen in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways to go towards making your day even more memorable!

As Ministers we recognise every couple’s needs are different – some people need more emotional support and reassurance, and other couples need more organisational and creative support. We offer a caring and attentive service to everyone we work with as we’re aware some venues in Scotland offer more of a conveyor belt wedding these days, as do some Celebrants and organisations that offer ceremony ‘off the shelf’.
